Project Overview
United Shore Financial (USF) set out to find a new corporate headquarters that could seamlessly integrate their “work hard, play hard” culture while accommodating their rapidly growing workforce. IDS played a key role in this process, assisting with site selection, space planning, and design concepts across three potential locations before USF ultimately chose a 600,000 square-foot existing office building as their new home.
Tasked with transforming the space into a dynamic and collaborative workplace for up to 5,000 employees, IDS led a 570,000 square-foot renovation, balancing functionality with an engaging, team-oriented environment. The design fosters productivity while offering employees spaces to unwind and recharge.
Walking trails, an outdoor plaza, and basketball and volleyball courts encourage social interaction, while indoor amenities such as game rooms, a fitness center, a full-service cafeteria, in-house medical offices, and even a Starbucks add to the vibrant workplace experience.
With an ambitious timeline of just six months for design and another six for construction, the project demanded efficiency and precision. Design work began in June 2017, with all employees successfully moving in by September 2018. The result is a headquarters that not only meets USF’s operational needs but also strengthens its dynamic workplace culture.
