Project Overview

As the third phase of a multi-stage master plan for Spartan Stadium, the South End Zone Addition builds upon the success of the West Tower and North End Zone projects. While the North End Zone focused on the football team, the South End Zone is all about the fans, delivering much-needed amenities and creating a more immersive game-day experience.

The addition introduces four new major concession stands and 236 additional restroom fixtures, including family-friendly facilities, significantly improving convenience and accessibility.

Its exterior seamlessly integrates with the material palette of the West Tower Addition, while incorporating Homeland Security Entry Gates inspired by the North End Zone project.

Beyond the stadium, the South End Zone Plaza is designed as a vibrant gathering space, featuring a tribute to longtime season ticket holders and a commissioned Art on Campus installation. This striking addition is poised to become another iconic photo opportunity, reinforcing Spartan pride and enhancing the fan experience at Michigan State University.
