Project Overview

To facilitate its growing patient volume, Mackinac Straits Health System (MSHS) retained IDS to evaluate existing hospital operations to propose options to address these needs. The evaluation included options for surgery, pharmacy, sterile processing, outpatient clinical operations and facility operations. The evaluation recommended a two-phase project. The first phase is the design of a new 20,000 square foot medical office building that relocates existing services to allow for space within the hospital to address the needs of surgery, sterile processing, and pharmacy in a second phase.

Phase one accommodates the relocation of clinical and dental services, community health, behavioral health, optometry, pharmacy, administrative and facility support spaces. The project reconfigures the site to address convenient patient and staff parking.
