Project Overview
The Michigan League is surrounded by a variety of dining options, with numerous restaurants just two blocks away on North University and State Street. With this in mind, the new retail food market at the League is designed as a versatile space, blending the convenience of a grab-and-go market, the warmth of a coffee shop, the accessibility of a small convenience store, and the charm of a local eatery.
To create a more inviting and open atmosphere, corridor walls and doors have been removed, making the various food stations far more visible than the previous Beansters setup. This transformation enhances accessibility and encourages more guests to explore the space. Adjacent to the new market is a spacious seating area, designed for both dining and student studying, fostering a welcoming environment that supports both social interaction and productivity.
