Project Overview

The Kercheval Gateway Building is the first phase of a two-phase mixed-use development in the iconic Indian Village of Detroit, Michigan. The development consists of a total 36,000 square feet broken down into 10,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and 26,000 sq. ft. of residential units.

The design team was challenged with evoking a high-end and sophisticated design at a price point that was affordable enough to reach out to an inclusive group of prospective residents. The design maintains this vision largely through the constrained use of materials and colors to evoke a palette that maintains a sense of luxury and design without the premium cost.
