Project Overview
IDS, Associate Architect to HOK, is contributing its expertise on numerous facets of the Clinical Inpatient Tower including: clinical planning, stakeholder alignment, advanced imaging expertise, regulatory review, interior healing environments, wayfinding, artwork planning / procurement and construction administration. IDS continues its decades long trusted service to University of Michigan / Michigan Medicine utilizing the IDS specialized Health Facilities Team. The 12-story, 20 OR, 690,000 SF Clinical Inpatient Tower (CIT) project will house the following functions, including: advanced imaging, surgery, hybrid OR, patient care units and patient food and nutrition services.
IDS’ 40+ year long history planning and implementing advanced imaging modalities throughout Michigan Medicine aids orchestration and alignment with stakeholders. Our familiar, trusted team is safeguarding UM’s standard guidelines and preferences, those written and those learned from long experience. IDS’ firsthand knowledge of the medical campus’ wayfinding ensures the CIT blends with the campus.
