Growing up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Brandon’s love of architecture and observation began at the early age of seven. He drew from the natural environment of his surroundings as his mother helped him realize a sense of place and the importance its affects have on people and memory. Being mindful of the environment and cultivating meaningful relationships has been and continues to be a life goal. Brandon cherishes the happiness witnessed when people first occupy the spaces his teams create. Brandon strives to bridge people with the practice of architecture and engineering, IDS allows for this endeavor on a daily basis. As Senior Vice President, Director of Architecture, he is drawn by the importance of the process of architecture and the orchestration of the various roles people play within the process. Brandon has taken on many roles in the last 25 years, from the early years of working in his uncles A/E firm, side by side with his grandfather in the print room, to the more current roles including surveyor, designer, lead technical architect, manager and assistant director. Brandon enjoys spending time with family, his wife and two boys. He has a tremendous love for music and sports. Notably, he was honored with the iconic Eisner Prize at the University of California, Berkeley.
