Biography
Matt’s love for architecture began in high school. His quest for perfection and hard work led him down a path of success. He went on to graduate from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Post graduation he worked for 3 other architecture firms before finding his home at IDS. Joining our team in 2004, Matt finally felt like he was part of a family and in a place where he could grow. Here at IDS he is able to work in a market segment that was dear to him, education. He loves kids and the idea of improving the educational system through the evolution of its environment. Matt has worked in the K-12 market for over 10 years and couldn’t be happier, acting as liaison between the client and the IDS team, he finds it rewarding to problem solve. When asked why he said, “I welcome a challenge or an unexpected issue; it helps you grow and gives you the opportunity to provide a solution, a different path and most times a better one.”
Matt’s family not only is an inspiration but also a reason to strive for the best. He has a beautiful wife and two daughters. His hard work ethic comes from making sure his family is happy and taken care of. In his free time Beck likes remote control models, fishing, jogging, traveling, rebuilding pinball machines and spending time with his family.
