The impetus of this project for Michigan Medicine was to provide a first-class auditorium in the Kellogg Eye Center that can be used for live-streaming or recorded presentations.  IDS aided the design and installation of new audio/visual systems, achieving proper sound quality for streaming/recording.  Existing seating and stair arrangements were modified to comply with current exiting requirements.  All finishes were replaced with new including acoustical wall panels.  Additional cooling was provided to the projector booth to offset new A/V equipment heat output.  The glazing on the projector booth was replaced with anti-glare glazing to aid better projection quality.

Project Overview

  • Complete renovation of auditorium including, finishes, seating and audio/visual equipment.
  • Addressed acoustics for live streaming / recorded video sound quality.
  • Provided additional cooling to projector booth.
