Integrated Design Solutions is interested in candidates that have an electrical engineering degree, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. State of Michigan Licensed Professional Engineer preferred; CAD experience necessary; LEED accreditation a plus; Revit experience is a plus. This is an open position with immediate availability. Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Act as a project electrical engineer for the design, development and documentation of primary power, secondary power, lighting, fire alarm and other auxiliary systems on small to medium-sized projects
  • Assist lead project electrical engineer in the design, development and documentation of primary power, secondary power, lighting, fire alarm and other auxiliary systems on large and complex projects
  • Research and document any required code review for assigned projects
  • Perform product research as required for project development
  • Attend project team coordination meetings and Owner review meetings
  • Develop materials for client presentations and review meetings
  • Present electrical system concepts/designs to clients and/or design review committees
  • Develop and edit project specifications
  • Review product shop drawings/submittals
  • Review and respond to requests for information (RFIs)
  • Visit project construction sites to review progress
  • Develop construction administration field observation reports
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and service. Follow-up with improvement implementation

Integrated Design Solutions is interested in candidates with a professional degree in Architecture with 7-10+ years of experience in writing specifications.  Architectural Registration is required and LEED AP or LEED BD+C accreditation is preferred.  Individual should be able to provide the full range of architectural services on projects of all sizes while managing and collaborating with multiple team members and disciplines as well as, contractors and client representatives to ensure an integrated and coordinated design.  Proficiency and expertise with Revit as well as a balance of design and high level of technical competence is required.  Individual should be familiar with specifications and code research and be able to provide support in each.   

 

Role & Responsibilities: 

 Interest in or experience specific to supporting Lead Specification Manager in Writing Specifications for Healthcare, K-12 & Higher Education market segments. 

  • Be able to independently provide the full range of architectural services on a small to medium-sized project
  • Manage project delivery to ensure the highest quality of documentation
  • Support and/or lead the Construction Administration process
  • Ability to produce and coordinate a complete set of construction documents for permitting and bidding on projects of all sizes
  • Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in working in a team setting, communicating with others, customer satisfaction, and technical competence
